          In July last year we submitted plans to build a new Club House. The approval was granted in February of this year -Our next stage is to complete the detailed design to get to Building Regulations'  Approval so we can put the project out for building contractors to tender.

         

       The project will cost circa £200,000 and will be built to the highest current 'sustainability' housing requirements demanded by planning authorities and grant donors - It will include :  Solar panels with battery storage, grey water recycling and an externally opening disabled toilet that can be opened by a radar key.

          

        To raise the moneys required, we have submitted applications for two major Grants and we will be making further applications to help make it up to the required £200,000

       

       The Club will also be looking at raising funds for the project with various activities including table top sales with other organisations etc,

     

       Also a  ‘Buy A Brick scheme has been launched,  where individuals can make a donation to the project by theoretically purchasing a brick, The donation will be acknowledged with their names on a sign board within the clubhouse when built.
